Mr. Xu Xuebin, born in Jingdezhen in 1970, is deaf and a Senior Arts and Crafts Artist of Jiangxi Province, holding the title of professor-level arts and crafts artist. Currently, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Jingdezhen Disabled Artists Association, and he is a member of both the China Arts and Crafts Association and the Jingdezhen Artists Association. He enjoys the honorary title of "New Century Outstanding Chinese Artist."

Mr. Xu has been passionate about ceramic art since childhood. Under the guidance of the renowned master Mr. Wu Kang, he gained significant knowledge and skills. He graduated from the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University in 1995. In 2000, he achieved the highest qualification, Level 1, in the Chinese painting and calligraphy grading examination for ceramic art. In 2001, his work "Red Ship and Rising Sun," a meiping created for the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party, was selected to be sent to the central government. In 2002, his work "Butterfly Play" won the "International Award of Excellence" at the Sixth Chinese Art Conference Hong Kong Art Exhibition. That same year, his landscape vase "Monkey Viewing the Sea" won the "Gold Medal" at the National Young and Middle-aged Ceramic Artists Fine Collection Grand Prix. In 2007, his work "Four Beauties" received a gold medal in the Second Shanghai Collectors’ Favorite Art Master Selection Contest.

He excels in painting figures with meticulous brushwork, as well as animals, landscapes, flowers, birds, and Western-style paintings. His works are clear and natural, emotionally resonant, and achieve a unity between the artist and the artwork. His artistic style is unique, and many of his pieces have been included in books and dictionaries such as "Fine Collection of Modern Chinese Ceramics," "Jingdezhen Ceramics," and "Millennium Ceramic Rhyme."

Creating famille rose ceramic plaque paintings is more challenging than traditional paper painting, as it requires two firings in the kiln, which poses risks of cracking or deformation. However, the color enamels used in ceramic plaque painting are more stable, and the texture is stronger. Ceramic plaque painting offers more depth and a three-dimensional quality compared to paper painting. Moreover, it can be permanently preserved, avoiding damage from insects and weathering.

The maker of this work used the famille rose technique and combined the traditional Chinese meticulous painting style with the western impressionist painting style to depict a landscape painting with the theme of mother love. Its style is innovative and unique. Its content is full of warmth and affection.
